Had a bit of a play around today with an idea I’ve had for a while, I really want to take this outdoors though.

I really want to shoot a short movie with film.

I never thought much of film when I was younger, I never really thought of anything before HD digital video as very good.

Now that digital formats are much closer or film I’m beginning to realise the only reason I didn’t like film is because every old or digital transfer/display format until fairly recently looked crap (see: VHS, DVD and Standard Definition).

Watching movies shot on film and transferred to High Definition digital (Blu-Ray for example), I can’t believe how good some of these movies look.

And now I want to shoot 35mm cinematic film, but I definitely don’t think I can afford it.

I’m feeling a lot happier with this, still needs tweaking I think, but this is good.

The look of the original is growing on me, but I really like the messed up colours with noise and the garish gear and lips.

I think I want to call this.. Cero.

Used the Canon c300 all night tonight, without a proper shoulder rig, monopod or support but with some heavy glass. Running around a busy event for hours of filming was insane,

I’m completely exhausted, but the camera is really just incredible to use. I’d love to have one of these of my own.

I’ve been crazy busy lately, which means much less stuff actually going online and much more time filming, editing, designing, etc.

Definitely more coming soon, there are quite a few long overdue things that are on the back burner for now until after I finish my current major project.

Lots to do, exciting, but I’m exhausted from editing in the office all day. Next week will be great.
